FDJ inherited the French National Lottery, which was born in 1933 as a way to help victims of World War One. To this day, FDJ has kept this societal responsibility at the heart of its model.

FDJ has promoted a policy of voluntary responsible gaming for over 20 years in order to prevent underage gambling and excessive gaming, and to accompany the most vulnerable people.
Integrity
FDJ’s voluntary policy also extends to tackling fraudulent or criminal uses of its games.
