FDJ UNITED’s Commitment to Sports Integrity

Since 2015, FDJ UNITED has established a Sports Integrity Department with the following missions:

  • Carrying out prevention initiatives.

  • Actively monitoring the integrity of sports competitions.

  • Cooperating with all sports stakeholders, both public and private, in France and internationally, to protect sports from the risks of manipulation.

FDJ UNITED has been a member of the French National Platform against the Manipulation of Sports Competitions since its creation on January 28, 2016, a status that was legally confirmed by decree in October 2019. Placed under the authority of the French Minister of Sports, this platform fosters operational cooperation among stakeholders, in line with the international Macolin Convention. FDJ UNITED also takes part in the meetings of the Copenhagen Group, led by the Council of Europe, which brings together national platforms to strengthen international cooperation against sports manipulation.

Within this framework, FDJ UNITED is specifically responsible for:

  • Monitoring in-shop betting across France. We ensure surveillance of irregular betting patterns in our retail network through the coordinated work of our sports betting trading teams, our Security Department, and our Sports Integrity Department.

  • Supporting prevention within the sports movement. For several years, we have been raising awareness among sports stakeholders in France about the issue of manipulation. Over the past four years, more than 3,000 individuals within the French sports community have been trained. In addition, the Group includes an integrity clause in all its sports partnership contracts.

At the same time, FDJ UNITED’s Sports Integrity Department maintains direct exchanges with numerous international stakeholders to combat sports manipulation, including the Council of Europe, Interpol, the IOC, FIFA, UEFA, ITIA, and the FBI. The department also contributes regularly to international congresses and seminars to strengthen global cooperation in this field.

Finally, the Group is a founding member of ULIS (United Lotteries for Integrity in Sport). This Swiss-based association brings together 32 lotteries and sports betting operators across four continents. ULIS provides ongoing monitoring of the sports betting market and, each year, detects hundreds of risks of manipulation with the support of its member lotteries, including FDJ UNITED. It then shares alerts with international partners such as sports federations and public authorities.
